Regenerative Therapy for Hair Growth Houston, TX

Regenerative therapy for hair growth is one of the most effective ways to promote thicker and healthier hair. With age, the levels of growth factors throughout the body naturally decline, resulting in changes to the skin and hair. With regenerative therapies, you can improve cellular communication throughout the body to support tissue repair and help your immune system promote healthy hair growth.

At Houston Hair Transplant Center (HHTC), our innovative hair growth therapies and hair restoration treatments have helped many patients improve their hair health and growth. Dr. Goran Jezic has helped thousands of patients improve their well-being. With simple, minimally invasive scalp rejuvenation and hair loss treatments, you can enjoy lasting hair growth and thicker, healthier hair with natural-looking results that can improve your confidence, image, and self-esteem.

About Regenerative Therapy and Cellular Micrografting for Hair Growth

Regenerative therapy is designed to help promote hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles and encouraging them to repair and regenerate. Growth factors are molecules that send signals to your cells to foster cellular growth; growth factors can improve the number and size of your hair follicles. (1) Stress, nutritional deficiencies, and genetic conditions can all cause hair loss, be it temporary or chronic. Although hair loss is common, it can affect your self-image, and as a result, it can affect your quality of life. With state-of-the-art technology procedures, we can help you achieve long-lasting, natural-looking hair growth and improve the health of your scalp and hair follicles without incisions, scarring, or anesthesia.

Growth Factors for Genetic Hair Loss

Genetic hair loss (alopecia) is typically characterized by inflammation that affects the structure of your hair follicles and their ability to produce new, healthy hair. Androgenic alopecia–a condition that is characterized by long-term hair loss–affects approximately 30% of men by 30 years of age. (2) During their lives, approximately 67% of men and 27% of women will suffer from androgenic alopecia. (3) Thinning hair on the crown of the head or along the hairline can affect your appearance and your perceived age; as a result, it can also affect how you feel about yourself.

Fibroblasts for Scalp Health

With regenerative therapies, we can help reduce scalp inflammation to create a healthier scalp and help your hair follicles grow thicker, healthier hair. (4,5) To improve your hair growth, we can apply a serum to your scalp that stimulates your follicles for thicker, denser hair. (1) Fibroblasts are cells that help your skin produce collagen and elastin–proteins that help your skin maintain its elasticity and structure. With regenerative therapy and cellular micrografting, we can improve the quality of the skin on your scalp to create an environment that helps foster healthier hair growth.

Benefits

Regenerative therapy and cellular micrografting for hair loss and hair regrowth have several benefits, including:

  • Less invasive therapy: We can apply a topical solution or administer the treatment directly beneath the skin, depending on your aesthetic goals and the type of hair loss you are experiencing.
  • Minimal downtime: If you avoid excessive sun exposure, you can return to your everyday activities afterward.
  • Improved growth factors: By increasing the growth factors in your skin, we can improve the structure of your hair follicles for long-lasting results.
  • Increased collagen levels: Improving your skin’s fibroblasts–cells that produce collagen and elastin–can help improve the skin’s elasticity on your scalp.
  • Sun damage repair: We can help your skin heal from sun damage and combine your therapy with additional treatments to address uneven skin tone and sun spots.

Candidates & Consultation

Suitable candidates for regenerative therapy and cellular micrografting are individuals who would like to:

  • Achieve thicker hair
  • Accelerate their hair growth
  • Improve the health of their scalp

Candidates generally have good overall health and can take good care of themselves. We will ask about your medical conditions, aesthetic goals, and history of hair loss to create a personalized plan for your needs. We can also combine your treatment with other skin rejuvenation therapies to help you restore volume to your skin and improve your radiance.

Preparation & Treatment Process

Preparation for regenerative therapy is typically minimal, and your hair professional will provide you with specific instructions about the process. Depending on your treatment, these instructions may ask that you refrain from smoking or using nicotine or tobacco products for some time and cease the use of certain medications or supplements with blood-thinning properties, subject to approval by your doctor. In any case, eating nutritious food and staying hydrated before the treatment and afterward may help the growth factors stimulate hair growth. During the treatment, we will administer the serum directly to your scalp.

How it Works

Cellular micrografting and regenerative hair restoration therapy can be performed in a clinical setting in tandem with a hair transplant or independently. There are two types of procedures – autologous and allogeneic. The autologous procedure uses your own tissue from the back and sides of the head, which is processed to extract the stromal vascular fraction (SVF), which is then injected into the thinning and balding areas of the scalp. Another alternative is allogeneic (from donor tissue) cells that are derived from adipose (fat) tissue that is rich in regenerative growth factors. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and does not cause any meaningful pain or discomfort

After Your Treatment

After your treatment, you can return home and carry on with most of your normal activities. You should take very good care of your scalp for optimal results. Dr. Jezic may also recommend that you refrain from washing your hair for several days afterward and avoid wearing hats and tight hairstyles that could affect your scalp and hair. He can also recommend products to help you care for your hair and skin for the best results.

Results

With regenerative therapy, you can enjoy lasting results and help your hair follicles grow thicker, fuller hair. We can also address balding spots with advanced hair transplants to help you improve your appearance. If you avoid sun exposure and take good care of your skin, you can enjoy lasting results. Since increasing the fibroblasts in the treated areas can support thicker, healthier hair, you can enjoy lasting results and your natural hair growth for natural-looking results.

To maintain your results, you may need to adjust your hair care routine to include looser hairstyles and gentle hair-washing treatments to maintain scalp health. You will also need to eat healthy, exercise, and get adequate rest to keep your stress levels low, as stress can contribute to hair loss.

Advanced Hair Transplants

Regenerative therapy can tremendously benefit patients who have recently received a hair transplant. The cellular micrografting procedure can improve and support healing, hair regrowth, recovery, and hair health following a transplant. This procedure improves hair density for those experiencing hair loss or thinning. We can increase your self-esteem and quality of life without the risk of long surgical scars.

Follicular Unit Extraction or Excision (FUE)

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a hair restoration technique that helps you address hair loss. During the treatment, we can extract hair follicles from areas at the back and sides of the head where you have hair growth and strategically place them where you are experiencing thinning. We offer several types of FUE to help you address hair loss:

  • ATERA: With advanced technology, we can extract your hair follicles using a special machine that preserves them in a special solution for a successful grafting process. It keeps your grafts lubricated throughout the procedure to prevent them from dying.
  • Neograft: With semi-automated technology, we can extract individual hair follicles, harvesting them with suction with a technique that is especially helpful for accurately placing curly hair follicles with a curved shape.
  • Hybrid Hair Restoration: We can perform multiple types of hair restoration techniques, combining surgical and non-surgical modalities, to address thinning hair and balding areas to rejuvenate your scalp.

Unlike older hair restoration treatments, such as follicular unit transplantation (FUT), which require a linear incision and scar across the back of the scalp, FUE technology can harvest follicular units individually and place them strategically for even hair growth. If you are experiencing hair loss in multiple areas, we can also address hair loss in the beard and eyebrows.

Candidates for hair restoration must have enough donor hair follicles for a transplant. Those with limited donor tissue can explore body-to-scalp hair transplants that take donor hair from the chest, abdomen, arms, and other parts of the body. During your consultation, we can discuss the best treatment plan for your needs. If you have a large area that you would like to fill, we can also perform mega session FUE up to 5,000+ grafts to transplant a significant number of hair follicles.
